Every
morning Warialda Public School, in conjunction with the Red
Cross, offers breakfast to all our students. This program
was initiated because our teachers' identified that some
students were experiencing difficulties with concentration
and thinking at a higher level. This was because they had an
unhealthy breakfast, travelled a long distance to school and
needed a top up or had no breakfast at all.
As a
result of this program our teachers have noticed greater
concentration skills and higher levels of thinking from
these students. It has also positively impacted on our
students' behaviour.
