Students
who attend Warialda Public School are very proud of their
playground because of its size. The grass area is about 1
hectare and we also have a large cement play
area.

Most
of the cement area is covered. We use these facilities in
our recess and lunch breaks. Some
of the things located on the grassed area are the cement
cricket pitch, two cricket nets, a sport shed and mowed
netball courts and soccer fields. There is a basketball
court at the top of the playground that students can use
with the teacher on duty's permission.

At lunch times we are allowed to use the cricket pitch to have a game of cricket. When we are training for a cricket match we use the cricket nets. The girls also play netball at lunch times and many students use the soccer fields for playground games and also school team practise. On the cement area children also play handball and bounce balls against the big brick wall. The large playground also allows us to play a variety of games in our PE lessons. |
