A fire at the shop and residence of Mr. G. Harmer P &
C Secretary. All P & C records lost.
1960
School population 333.
The Hon R. J. Heffron, Premier and Minister for Education
visited the school.
1961
Wyndham Scheme
School Centenary Celebrations.
1962
New school residence completed. Cost 4,915
pounds.
1963
New Secondary buildings officially opened, by Hon E.
Wetherall, Minister for Education. Cost 70,000
pounds.
1970
Fourteen acres of land, south of the old cemetery,
resumed for separate secondary school.
1971
Work commenced on new school. H. W. Thompson Pty. Ltd.,
Builder. Cost $500,000.
First Form VI attempt Higher School Certificate. Hon. C.
B. Cutler, Deputy Premier and Minister for Education and
Science, visited the school.
1972
School population 603.
New secondary buildings in Apollo Avenue, occupied 4th
July.
1973
The complete staff of Warialda Central School now
consists of:

Eight
drivers bring children to school on buses.
The
student population is at present:
130 children in Infants' classes;
200 in Primary classes;
309 Secondary students.
