Warialda Public School Uniform Policy

It is the School CommunityÕs expectation that children wear school uniform. The wearing of the school uniform by all children is fully supported and endorsed by the Parents and Citizens Association and School Council. Parents can support the school by ensuring that their child wears the full school uniform. Children are required to bring a note if the cannot comply with uniform requirements at any time.
School uniform colours are brown, gold and grey
Hat Policy: A Ôno hat – no playÕ policy is in place. This is keeping with ÒSun SafeÓ guidelines that ALL children playing in the playground must wear a hat with a brim shading the ears and neck. Caps are not permitted.
Pocket Policy: no more than two external front leg pockets above the knee, with no embellishments or decorations.
Accessories:
Hat- The P&C has endorsed a school hat and this hat is available through the school. The school hat is a gold bucket hat with WPS embroidered on the front in brown. Their will be the option for students to have either their first or last name on the back. This is at the parentÕs discretion. The P&C will provide all students with their first School Hat.
Hair accessories - should be in school uniform colours.
Belts – are to be plain and no more than 4 cm in width, have no studs or large buckles, no embellishments or decorations and are to be in keeping with school uniform colours.
Beanies and Gloves – the school uniform beanie is a gold polar fleece beanie with WPS on the front, and is available from the school. Otherwise they are to be plain and in keeping with school uniform colours.
Scarves – are to be plain with no embellishments or decorations other than fringing or tassels, are to be in keeping with school uniform colours and are not to be excessively long.
Socks- Girls – any length white socks.
Boys – any length grey or white socks.
Stockings and tights- in either brown or opaque colours
Shoes- Black joggers, black leather shoes with minimal heel or black ankle high boots with
elastic sides.
Any type of jogger is acceptable for sport.

Where can you get the uniform?
Coast and Country, Hope Street, 6729 1464, carries certain parts of the school uniform.
The Shed on Stephen carries all types of shoes and socks endorsed in our policy.
Target, Inverell stocks the stubbies for school range of grey shorts and pants, as well as school socks.
The P&C order uniform the following way;
* Skort, dress, sports shorts and winter skirt will be a term order for Terms 1, 2 and 4.
* Sports Shirt and School Polar Fleece Jumper will be a twice a year order. (Terms 1 and Term 4)
* School Spray Jacket will be a one off order in Term 1.
* The School shirt and hat are
available from the school.

clarify what the school dress, skort, school jumper, sports shirt and school
shirt are:
School dress: Is in the same fabric design (Cleolene 8109) as old dress but in summer weight material with a Princess ÒSÓ body, full sleaves, a white zip and a side zip pocket, straight collar with a dark brown double tab.
Skort: the same check and weighted material as the new summer dress.
School shirt: a short sleeved polo with a brown emblem and a long sleeve gold polo shirt in 220g-weight material.
Sports Shirt: a gold short sleeve polo shirt, with brown stripes on the cuff and collar and Warialda Public School written on the collar.
School Jumper: a rugby style polar fleece jumper with a gold yoke section and the rest chocolate brown, with a zipper and school crest in brown.
Winter Skirt: a dark brown, knee length skirt, in winter weight material, boxed pleat in the front, A-line back with an elastic half waist
